Bio

Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Porter graduated from Lakeside High school in Dekalb County as a star athlete then to Georgia Tech on a football Scholarship.

While at Georgia Tech, Porter was a 3 year letterman, a Dean’s list student and played in the All-American Bowl his senior year, graduating with a degree in business management. He then earned an MBA from the University of Southern California, Marshall School of Business.

After Georgia Tech, Porter read the book “The Art of the Deal” by Donald Trump and decided to be a real estate developer and the journey began. In 2024, Porter had the honor of being an opening speaker for President Trump’s Savannah campaign rally.
Porter’s first job out of Georgia Tech was with legendary Atlanta real estate developer Charles Ackerman the developer that inspired Tom Wolfe’s novel “A Man in Full”. Ackerman mentored Porter to develop his vision for successful real estate and have an eye for details.

Moving from Ackerman with Charle’s encouragement, Porter joined global real estate giant CBRE and went on to become the company top producer at the local, national and international levels.

While at CBRE, Porter started and organized the company’s global logistics group and infrastructure development platforms which lead the industry. CBRE grew to over $380 B in transaction volume with Porter at the top for 25 years.

Porter strategically formed Capital Development Partners in 2017 which has become one of the top industrial real estate and infrastructure development companies in the United States.

The company strategically moved into the mobile power plant development industry in 2021 and expanded into the hydrogen production industry for major auto/truck manufacturing companies in 2025.

Porter is an avid traveler, sportsman and philanthropist with homes in Atlanta, Savannah, Deer Valley, and Spain.
